A Matter-compatible lock works with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home simultaneously, from day one. We spec Matter devices wherever possible so your system stays compatible as platforms evolve.

In most cases, yes. We assess your existing devices and integrate what's compatible into the new system. Older or incompatible devices may need to be replaced, but we'll tell you upfront what will and won't work together before any work starts.

Smart thermostats like Ecobee and Nest track when you're home, when you're away, and what temperature you set at what times. Over 1–2 weeks, they build a schedule that matches your patterns and start adjusting automatically. Lighting automations use occupancy sensors and time-based schedules rather than true machine learning, but the effect is the same — your home responds without you touching anything.

For a simple system (a few lights and a thermostat), individual apps work fine. For whole-home automation with scenes, multi-device triggers, and routines, a hub or controller gives you far more capability and reliability. We recommend the right approach based on your system size.

All the hardware we install supports local control — meaning your lights, locks, and thermostats still respond to switches, keypads, and schedules even without internet. Voice assistants and remote access from outside your home require connectivity, but everything inside the house keeps working.
