What we install

Every piece of a great audio system

From wireless Sonos speakers to flush-mount in-ceiling speakers wired through the walls — we source, install, and configure the right hardware for your home.

🎵

Sonos Wireless Ecosystem

The cleanest way to add audio without pulling wire. Sonos speakers connect over WiFi, stream directly from 100+ services, and play in sync across every room. Setup is fast and expansion is easy — just add another speaker to the system.

In-Ceiling & In-Wall Speakers

Flush-mount speakers disappear into your ceiling and deliver far better sound per dollar than shelf speakers. We cut the openings, run the speaker wire through the walls, and terminate it cleanly to a keystone plate or binding post — completely invisible when done.

Multi-Zone Amplifiers

Passive in-ceiling speakers need an amplifier. We use the Sonos Amp (125W, streams directly, connects to any passive speaker) for most residential zones — it's the cleanest solution since it keeps everything in the Sonos ecosystem. For larger installs we use dedicated multi-channel amps.

Outdoor Audio Zones

Deck, patio, pool area, or garden — weatherproof speakers handle Lancaster summers and winters without issue. We mount them on the soffit or in the ground (landscape speakers), run weatherproof wire, and tie the zone into your same Sonos app. Your outdoor space becomes another room.

Streaming & Source Setup

We configure every streaming service so your system just works from day one. Spotify Connect lets Spotify hand off directly to the speaker (not streaming from your phone). AirPlay 2 lets any Apple device send audio to any room. We also set up voice control through Alexa or Google Home.

Smart Home Integration

Whole-home audio is better when it's tied into your smart home. We connect audio zones to lighting scenes, door sensors, and morning/evening routines. Walk in the front door and your foyer playlist starts. Hit "Goodnight" and everything fades off. We tie audio into HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home.

What a 4-zone system looks like

This is a common install we do in Lancaster County homes. Every zone is independent — different music, different volume, same app.

Kitchen / Living Room
2x Polk Audio Reserve RC80i in-ceiling + Sonos Amp
8-inch in-ceiling speakers in the kitchen, powered by a Sonos Amp mounted in the AV closet or utility room. Wire runs concealed in the wall. Controlled from the Sonos app or Alexa.
Primary Bedroom
Sonos Era 100 (pair) or 2x Klipsch CDT-3650 in-ceiling
Wireless Era 100s are common here — no wire run needed and they sound great. For a cleaner look, we go in-ceiling with a second Sonos Amp channel. Alarm integration via Alexa routines.
Back Deck / Patio
2x Polk Audio Atrium 8 SDI + Sonos Amp (shared channel)
Weatherproof speakers mounted under the soffit, wire run through the exterior wall. Often shares a Sonos Amp with the kitchen on a separate zone — keeps cost down without sacrificing control.
Home Office
Sonos Era 100 or Era 300 (for spatial audio)
A single wireless Era 100 is usually enough. The Era 300 is ideal if you want Dolby Atmos spatial audio for music. Both integrate into the whole-home system instantly with no wiring.

Zones and hardware vary by home layout and budget — this is one common configuration. We'll design yours specifically.

Why Unified Integration

We do audio right or we don't do it

👓

Wire runs done clean

We fish wire through walls, patch holes, and leave your home looking like we were never there. No exposed conduit, no sloppy cable runs.

🌐

Network-aware installs

Sonos lives on your WiFi. We assess your network before installing — if your router can't handle it, we tell you and offer a solution. Bad WiFi kills good audio.

📱

Full app training

Before we leave, we walk you through the Sonos app, set up your streaming accounts, create your zones, and make sure every family member knows how to use it.

📍

Lancaster-local

We live and work in Lancaster County. If something goes wrong after the install, we come back. No 800-number support line, no ticket queue.

Speaker placement matters more than speaker brand. A $200 pair of in-ceiling speakers placed correctly outperforms $600 bookshelf speakers sitting in the wrong spot. We get the placement right first, then spec the hardware.

FAQ

Common questions about whole-home audio

How much does whole-home audio cost in Lancaster PA?
A basic 2-zone Sonos system (two rooms with wireless speakers) typically starts around $800–$1,200 installed. A 4-zone system with in-ceiling speakers and a Sonos Amp runs $2,500–$5,000 depending on speaker count and wire runs. We'll quote your home specifically — no surprise charges.
What's the difference between Sonos and in-ceiling speakers?
Sonos wireless speakers (Era 100, Era 300, Arc) are self-contained and need no wire runs — easiest to install. In-ceiling speakers (Polk Audio, Klipsch, Sonance) are powered by a Sonos Amp or similar amplifier via speaker wire. In-ceiling speakers are invisible, tend to sound better for the money, and are ideal in new construction or rooms where you don't want a speaker sitting on a shelf.
Can I play different music in different rooms?
Yes — that's what multi-zone audio is. Each zone (room or area) is independently controlled. Kitchen plays jazz, kids' room plays pop, porch plays podcasts — all at the same time from the same app. Sonos and most modern systems support this out of the box.
Does whole-home audio work with Spotify, Apple Music, and Alexa?
Yes. Sonos supports Spotify Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Amazon Music, Tidal Connect, and dozens of other services natively. You can also use voice control through Alexa or Google Assistant. Everything plays directly from the speaker — your phone is just the remote, not the source.
Can you add audio to an existing smart home or AV system?
Absolutely. We integrate whole-home audio with existing smart home setups, home theaters, and AV systems regularly. Sonos works alongside Control4, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. We can tie audio zones to lighting scenes, door sensors, or morning routines.
Do you install outdoor speakers?
Yes. We install weatherproof outdoor speakers (Polk Audio Atrium, Klipsch AW series) on decks, patios, and pool areas. These connect to a Sonos Amp or dedicated outdoor amplifier and integrate with your indoor zones — same app, same control.
