What We Automate

Every System in Your Home — Working Together

We don’t just install smart devices — we integrate them so they talk to each other and respond to your routines.

Smart Lighting & Dimming

Lutron Caseta or RadioRA dimmers installed throughout your home — no neutral wire required in most cases. Set scenes, schedules, and sunrise/sunset automation. Works without the internet.

Smart Locks & Access Control

Schlage, Yale, or Kwikset smart locks installed on every entry point. Assign codes per person, set auto-lock schedules, and get notifications when doors open — all from your phone.

Thermostat & Climate Control

Ecobee or Nest thermostats programmed with schedules, geofencing, and room-by-room sensing. Your home is at the right temperature when you arrive — and not wasting energy when you’re gone.

Whole-Home Audio

In-ceiling speakers in every room, connected to Sonos or a whole-home audio system. Play different music in different rooms — or the same song throughout the whole house — from your phone.

Security Cameras & Video Doorbells

Wired IP cameras and video doorbells integrated into your smart home system — see who’s at the door, check the backyard, and get motion alerts from one app alongside everything else.

Voice Control Integration

Amazon Alexa and Apple Siri fully configured for your home — every light, lock, thermostat, and AV system responds to voice commands without complicated setup or constant troubleshooting.

Automation Scenes

One Tap Changes Everything

We program scenes that trigger multiple devices at once — so your home responds to moments, not just commands.

Good Morning
Lights ease on, thermostat adjusts, coffee maker starts
Leaving Home
All lights off, doors lock, thermostat to away mode
Movie Time
Lights dim, shades close, TV on, audio to surround
Goodnight
All lights off, doors locked, thermostat to sleep temp

Professional Automation vs. DIY Smart Home

You can buy smart bulbs at Home Depot and use three separate apps to control your home. Or you can have one system that was installed correctly, programmed for your routines, and actually works every time you need it to.

We handle the complexity — network configuration, device pairing, scene programming, and integration between brands — so you don’t spend weekends troubleshooting why your lights stopped responding. We’re also local, so when something needs attention, we can be there.

Common Questions

Home Automation FAQ

What can I control with a home automation system?

Virtually everything electrical in your home — lights, dimmers, ceiling fans, thermostats, door locks, garage doors, video doorbells, security cameras, whole-home audio, TV and AV systems, motorized shades, and irrigation. We integrate all of these into one app so you’re not juggling ten separate apps.

What platform do you use for home automation?

It depends on the home and what’s already installed. We work with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Control4, Lutron RadioRA, and Home Assistant. We recommend the right platform for your home’s size, your existing devices, and your preference for local vs. cloud control.

Do I need a smart home hub?

For simple setups — a few lights and a thermostat — a hub isn’t always necessary. For whole-home automation with scenes, schedules, and multi-system integration, a local hub (Control4, Home Assistant, or Lutron) gives you faster response, better reliability, and automation that works without an internet connection.

Can you automate an existing home, or is it only for new construction?

Both. Existing homes can be automated with wireless devices — smart switches, smart locks, wireless sensors — without running new wire in finished walls. Lutron’s Caseta system, for example, works without a neutral wire and installs in older homes seamlessly. New construction gives more flexibility for in-wall wiring, but automation works either way.

How much does home automation cost in Lancaster PA?

A starter automation package — smart lighting in the main living areas, a smart thermostat, and a smart lock — typically runs $800–$2,000 installed. A whole-home system with lighting, audio, security cameras, and AV integration is typically $5,000–$20,000+ depending on the size of the home and the devices involved. We give you a straight quote after a free in-home assessment — no surprises.

What if I move or want to change things later?

Good home automation systems are reprogrammable and expandable. We don’t lock you into proprietary ecosystems that require expensive dealer calls every time you want to add a device. We use open or widely-supported platforms and we’ll teach you how to make simple changes yourself.
