Wired and wireless security cameras installed cleanly — proper cabling, correct angles, NVR setup, and smart home integration. No DIY kit that you’re figuring out yourself.
From a single doorbell camera to a full multi-camera wired system with NVR — we design, install, and configure everything.
Typically $150–$400 per camera installed depending on camera type and wiring. A 4-camera wired system with NVR runs $800–$2,000 installed. Video doorbell installation runs $100–$250. Call (717) 322-2180 for a free quote.
Both. Wired PoE cameras are more reliable and ideal for permanent installs — we run CAT6 in-wall for a clean look. Wireless works well where wiring is impractical. We recommend wired where possible.
Yes — we integrate with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and other platforms so you view footage and get alerts through your existing app.
Depends on your home size and coverage goals. Most homes benefit from 4–8 cameras covering entry points, garage, and perimeter. We assess your property and recommend coverage before quoting.

The right system depends on your property, existing wiring, and how you want to monitor and store footage.
Cat5e or Cat6 runs power and video on one cable (PoE). Most reliable — no WiFi dependency, no battery to charge. Footage stored locally on an NVR with 1–4TB of storage. Best for homes where coverage is permanent and you want 24/7 continuous recording.
WiFi cameras (Ring, Reolink, Wyze) require no cable runs but depend on your network signal. Ideal for renters or quick installs, but image quality and reliability rarely match a wired system. We wire access points to improve coverage first when needed.
Some locations get hardwired cameras, others get quality wireless units — dictated by where cable runs are practical. Hybrid systems give you the reliability of wired where it matters most (entry, garage, driveway) without running cable to every corner of the property.
Camera placement is a strategy decision, not just a physical one. The wrong angle misses the face. The wrong height gets the top of a hat. We plan placement using coverage math before mounting a single bracket.
The front door, side gate, and garage door are the three highest-priority coverage zones. A camera at 8–10 feet captures a clear face shot at entry-level — not just the top of a head.
A wide-angle camera at driveway level captures license plates that a high-mounted camera misses entirely. We position for plate capture specifically when vehicle security is a priority.
Side access points are where most intrusions actually happen. A camera covering the side gate and rear yard closes the gap that front-only systems leave open.
Indoor cameras for pets, package delivery area, or monitoring are placed to cover the intended zone without capturing private areas. We discuss placement with you before mounting anything indoors.
Most single-family homes are well covered with 4–6 cameras: front door, driveway, rear yard, and one or two side positions. Larger properties or those with detached garages may need 8–10. We walk your property and give you a specific recommendation.
On a local NVR with a 2TB drive, a 4-camera 1080p system stores approximately 15–20 days of continuous footage before overwriting. A 4TB drive doubles that. Motion-triggered recording extends storage significantly by only recording when something happens.
Yes. We configure remote access through the NVR’s app or a secure VPN connection so you can view live or recorded footage from anywhere. We test remote access before we leave to confirm it works on your phone.
