Even the best display and speakers are limited by the source. We set up Apple TV 4K for Apple households, Nvidia Shield Pro for the strongest Android streaming experience, and 4K Blu-ray for the highest possible quality — all over HDMI 2.1 for full 4K/120 and eARC.
One button should dim the lights, close the shades, power on the gear, and land on the right input. We wire the theater into whatever smart home system is already in place and set up a universal remote or app so nobody's hunting for a manual.
Carry most of the movie and music output and set the stereo image. We angle them slightly inward toward the main seat — a small adjustment that makes a real difference in soundstage accuracy.
Carries dialogue and most on-screen effects. It has to match tonally with the front L&R, or voices sound thin against the rest of the mix.
